Chelsea's Photoblog: Through the eyes of a lost soul

This is the world through the eyes of a lost soul, someone lost in the labyrinths of their own troubled thoughts, with each level darker than the last until not a ray of light remains.

Do you know how it feels like to see the world as though a white veil covers your eyes?
To see people and reality through a misted window, as if in a dream? The lines of reality and your imagination, blurred.

To stare at your reflection and see a stranger staring back, unable to recognize those eyes that have lost its twinkle. Dark smudges now occupy the spaces between your eyelashes.

Like green leaves that are torn from their branches and into gutters, rotting to an unhealthy hue, jailed within harsh corners and unable to escape.

Previously so full of life, now left to wilt in the shadows of her former beauty.

Life had lost its warmth. Instead of a walk under sunshine, it has become a solitary journey through cold, resonating staircases that lead nowhere.

Desperately searching for a saving grace, a guardian angel to take their hand and lead them through the labyrinth of inner turmoil.

From the darkest depths, a light is visible through the petals of steel roses.

Until the steel petals of the rose unravel and the light is within reach

And although the stairs may seem to never end, there is now one thread of hope that draws you from the tangles of confusion and keeps you moving forward, lost but ready to be found, trapped but waiting to be freed.
